We've had many different travel mugs over the years but the Thermos Nissan is in a class by itself. Top-rated by Cooks Illustrated, it keeps my morning latte piping hot and fits nicely into the cup holder in my truck. I also bought one for my husband and one for my son and we all love them.
The product has a brushed finish, and the lid has some kind of rubber washer on it for a good seal. Thermal performance is good.
Very clean looking. Great product.
The lid is not suppose to be leak proof so if you hold it upside down it will leak. Solid.
Nicely built. You can get a medium hot chocolate at Panera, it will nearly, if not completely, fill it up.
Over all I would recommend.
I own two of these mugs, one of which I've had more than 10 years. The rubberized band around the middle make the mug easy to hold onto, and not having a handle ensures it fits into nearly any car cupholder. It's amazing. It keeps coffee and tea hotter, longer than any other travel mug I've ever used -- tea made at 7am is still comfortably drinkable at noon. I seem to recall reading the mugs are not dishwasher safe, though mine have been through the dishwasher hundreds of times to no ill effect. While steep, the mug is still worth it at the retail price -- but Amazon's typical price makes owning one a no-brainer.
This is how things should be made nowadays. It doesnt feel like a cheap piece of garbage, it feels like its very stout and it looks great and performs great. Definatley recommend.
I have been looking all over for a nice quality travel mug with flip open lid and this is it. I use mine for water and this keeps the water really nice and cold throughout the work day. The stainless color is very professional looking and the size is just right and the quality can't be beat.
